Welcome and About ASPR- - -

Welcome to the Blog of The Alameda Society of Paranormal Research or ASPR.

It is the intention of this blog to inform, educate and update all new persons who are thinking of taking up Ghost Hunting, or paranormal investigation either as a hobby or for fun, or as a serious advocation.

This blog is to tell you what is true and what is false, what is fact and what is fictional exageration.

It is to provide to you links as well as reading material to help you with your understanding of what your are going to be getting into.

It can be fun, it can be spiritually uplifting, it can confirm that we do not die, it can strengthen your religious beliefs and it can be dangerous.

Just remember Ghosts are people too, some are lost, frightened, some don't believe they are dead, some are down right mean and vicious, but they cannot hurt you only if you let them.

In time we will post information on how you can spiritually protect yourself.

This blog is a work in progress and will be added to and updated as time permits.

ABOUT THE ALAMEDA SOCIETY FOR PARANORMAL RESEARCH

The Alameda Society for Paranormal Research was founded in 2004, and had close to a dozen members, all interested in the Paranormal.

This interest included Ghost Hunting, EVP investigation,  Historical and current paranormal research, interviewing people who had paranormal experiences, advising people on what they may suspect is a paranormal event, as well as provide information of locations that are either proven haunted or are not.

Part of the Society's focus was to both prove and debunk any paranormal events or happenings that occured within the City of Alameda as well as looking into postings in regards to alleged paranormal events espeically to weed out those that were just exaggerations of over active imaginations of young people and also to confirm true hauntings.

Some of these alleged sightings have passed into urban legend, and some are true.

As of 2014 the Society is now only manned by two people, the winds of an uncertain economy has scattered much of the original members.

The Society no longer does any Ghost Hunting, so please do NOT request that nor it does not do physical paranormal investigations, time and financial constraints prevent that so that function has been discontinued, but the Society will have links to those groups that are professional in their investigations and will also offer any possible answers to paranormal questions you the reader may have, provided that they are honest and legitimated questions or requests.

The Society's current focus is to provide information as to the types of paranormal activity, events etc, and well as inform you the reader as to the exagerations as shown in movies, Television and espeically on You Tube, and what has been posted on the Inter Net to inform you as to what is a fraud and what is real.

There will be postings on these sightings and programs and with the correct information tag  help you find the subject that you need.

The postings will be updated and edited from time to time as new information is gathered as well as perhaps corrected spellings and any gramatical errors.

Opinions presented by the Society is based upon the Society's personal experience and does not reflect any particular religious organization, group, other investigative groups or persons.

This blog is for your information and hopefully a link to aid you as you begin your quest.

  1. Dear Voodoo Queen, I have a honey jar question, how long do we burn candles on top of The jar?

    1. Dear Unknown,

Traditionally the candle on top burns until it burns down and once it's burn down you add another candle, let it burn down, and etc. etc. until you achieve what you want.

Now it's always best to let it burn, but in this day and age of fire danger, I would only let it burn when at home, unless you have a fire place (some homes still do) to burn it in with a fire screen in front to keep children and pets away.

Otherwise, snuff the candle out when you leave the house and then relight it when you return, some people will put a large open glass hurricane glass around it for protection to allow it to burn.

I know of one woman to keep peace, love and prosperity in her home has burned a honey jar candle for nearly 40 years, keeping it safe with a hurricane glass.

      Good Luck and Bright Blessings,
      Ms. Q
